Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of your mental health services. This estimate is required by law for individuals who do not have insurance or are not using insurance to pay for their services.
A Good Faith Estimate provides you with the total expected cost of non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy.
You can request a Good Faith Estimate from your healthcare provider before scheduling a service or at any time during your treatment.
If you receive a bill that is $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges. Be sure to save a copy or image of your Good Faith Estimate for reference.
